Dale is a Gold Coast based multi discinplinary artist who uses painting, drawing and collage to explore connection with other realms. Dale is interested in human beings disconnection and reconnection with nature and wildness, both internal and external.
Dale uses narrative images which often have a dreamlike feel because they are imaginative and fantastical. Animals and creatures feature prominently, often signifying this longing for connection to a greater web of life.
"I believe that in order for humans to stop destroying the planet and the elemental ingredients of life we need to revert to something other than the logical and reasoning brain which has been responsible for so much human progress. With my art I rely on going deeper to the subconscious where we are all still connected with all that is and on some level know our relationship to other beings."
Dale has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National Art School in Darlinghurst Sydney, majoring in painting and was the recipient of the Lennox Street Studios Award and a Gold Coast Council Creative Spaces Residency.
Dale has been featured in the Dean Cogle Portrait Prize.
